Service Times
Our services include worship through singing, prayer, the public reading of Scripture, and the preaching of God’s Word.
Discipleship Hour – 9 AM
We begin the Lord’s Day with our 9:00 Discipleship Hour, with age-appropriate classes for the whole family. Check out the “Have Children?” section below for more information on what you can expect for your kids!
Worship Service – 10:15 AM
After Discipleship Hour, we gather for worship. Kids are welcome in the service, and a nursery is available for children age 4 and under.

Parking
Park west of Ogle Ave. in the student lots. Walk east across Ogle and enter the main lobby of Poling on the west side of the building. The Walker Lounge is on the first floor at the south end of the building.
Handicap parking is available East of Poling by entering the main University entrance directly off Rt. 60.
What to Expect
Our church body is young and old with a variety of life backgrounds. People’s dress tends to be business casual, but there is always a mix.
The preaching of the Bible in our services is expositional and our pastors typically work through books of the Bible chapter-by-chapter from beginning to end.
Our services are around an hour and fifteen minutes in length. Our music is theologically rich, drawing on the deep truths of the Bible to help us orient our hearts and minds toward God. Our instrumentation varies, but most often includes piano and guitar. Song selections include a mix of old and new but are always centered on God’s Word and exalt Jesus Christ.
As a mobile church, we make use of rented facilities and utilize folding chairs for our seating. If you have issues with sitting for extended periods of time, there are padded seats in the rear of the meeting space—you may want to arrive early to ensure availability.
Have Children?
We encourage and welcome children’s participation in our worship services! But sometimes, it can be difficult for children to sit for the full length of the service without distracting others. There is a nursery available for children age 4 and under during both morning hours, with additional children’s classes for ages 5-13 during our 9:00 Discipleship Hour. There are a few important policies and procedures you should be aware of if your children will be participating in our Children’s Ministry:
Check-In and Check-Out:
- For the safety of the children, you will need to both check your child(ren) in and out. At check in, you will receive a security sticker with a code that matches your child’s name tag. The children’s ministry volunteers will not release your child without seeing the matching sticker, even if they know you, so be sure to put it somewhere safe!
- If you’d like, you can fill out this form to have your children added to our database before Sunday morning to make check-in a breeze.
- The adult discipleship class ends at 9:45AM and children’s classes end at 10AM.
Nursery Bathroom Breaks (ages 0-4):
- For the safety of your children, our policy does not allow volunteers to change diapers and we will page you on your cell phone if your child needs a diaper change. Be sure to check them in with a clean diaper to save yourself some hassle.
- Please take older children to the bathroom before you check in. There will be a break halfway through the session, but if your child needs to use the bathroom outside of that break we will page you on your cell phone to take them.
